Charity Day 2012 Wrap-up
Well Charity Day 2012 is over for this year & we now start planning for next year. A great and appreciative crowd attended really showed their appreciation at the amazing range of talent appearing on the day. $5 for non-stop entertainment from10am to 6.30pm is not bad as well as the monster raffle. Kyogle CMC walkewd away with 16 prizes - good on them. Many thanks to all those who helped out on the day as well as the CMC's Redcliffe, Blue Denim, Redlands, Smokehouse, Brigalow, Twin Rivers, Gold Coast & not forgetting Guanaba who provided excellent entertainment. This was followed up with the inaugeral appearance of the Jon Skye Band, who gave us some good old Rock n Roll and the day finished with some powerful renditions by the Guanaba Band, Peter, Karl, Craig & Brady giving his version of "Wipeout". Thanks also to our sponsors & all who worked tirelessy on the front door, kitchen & bar areas etc.
We met some "stars" on the day young Sidney & Cateland who are CPL sufferers and while Sid played his set of drums we gave him, Cateland belted out Taylor Swift's version of Love Story. That is the two standout things that I'll remember of the day. Many thanks once again. Dave Mazzer (President)
