All Photos Now Posted - DEC 21 Christmas Social

Our CHRISTMAS SOCIAL was held on Sunday, DECEMBER 21.

It was a warm day, but thankfully not too hot as is customary for this time of year .. thanks to the light cloud cover + a nice breeze. Once again, our clubhouse was filled to capacity .. and all who were there on the day, had a great time. The clubhouse was naturally decorated for the Christmas season and the tree looked great!

Our band played really well, and the standard of entertainment was once again excellent. Bonnie, one of our popular singers recently also celebrated her 80th. birthday and all I can say is that I hope I look as good as Bonnie when I am her age lol. She looks great and sure knows how to sing a country song real good!

After the social had ended, about twenty of us members stayed back and helped to clean and tidy up the clubhouse .. and after that we ordered some tasty pizzas, and spent some quality time together as friends.

All the photos (65 posted) taken during the afternoon are now available for viewing 24/7 by clicking on the following links :-

As there is NO SOCIAL IN JANUARY EACH YEAR, this year we are car pooling it or heading on down by our own steam, to MULLUMBIMBY CMC on 18 JANUARY 2009 for their monthly social. That should be a lot of fun as always. And their afternoon tea is one of the best around today.

Also, a date to earmark in your diary for next year is 30 AUGUST 2009 for our ANNUAL CHARITY DAY. More details will be posted as they come to hand. All dates for all of our socials, meetings, special events etc. can be found 24/7 by going to our Guanaba Events Calendar.

15 FEBRUARY 2009 (Sunday)

We look forward to seeing you there!
