Our VALENTINES DAY SOCIAL was held last Sunday, FEBRUARY 15. This social was also a FUNDRAISER for the VICTORIAN BUSHFIRES & NORTH QUEENSLAND FLOODS APPEALS. The official amount raised on the day was $1700, which will be split evenly between the two causes. So well done everyone, this was an awesome effort!
Once again, it was an extremely warm day with not much breeze to cool us off at all. A few storms were floating around the ridges, but we were spared this time round. We've had a lot of rain at Heritage Park where our clubhouse is located, the ground is saturated.
Another BIG crowd was in attendance. The standard of performances was once again well rounded and full of variety. Our old friends from SMOKEHOUSE CMC at Tweed Heads payed us another visit, and charmed us all with their country flavour!

Also, an important date for you to earmark in your diary for this year is 30 AUGUST 2009 for our ANNUAL CHARITY DAY. All funds raised at this SPECIAL EVENT will go to the GOLD COAST REGION of the CEREBAL PALSY LEAGUE and will benefit LOCAL CHILDREN. More details about this event will be posted here on our official webpage, as they come to hand.
